MauJong! counts the faan of a winning mahjong hand and keeps the score for your table. This page says what we keep and why.
What we collect
- Your sign-in. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture, only to know who you are at the table. We never see your Google password. If you play without an account, we keep just the name you typed.
- Your games. The tables you join, who sat where, each hand recorded (the tiles, the faan and the points), and the standings built from them.
- Friends and groups. Who you add as a friend and which groups you belong to.
Photos of your hand
When you take a photo to read a hand, it is sent to OpenAI to name the tiles. We do not keep the photo. OpenAI handles it under its own policy and may keep it briefly. The live scan reads the camera on your own phone and sends nothing anywhere.
Who else handles your data
Supabase stores the data and runs the sign-in. Vercel hosts the site. Google provides sign-in. OpenAI reads photos. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use trackers.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. Nothing is used for tracking.
Who can see what
Other players at your table or group can see your name, picture, scores and the hands you record. Nobody else can see your email address.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your account and the data that goes with it at any time, by email. Hands you recorded at someone else's table may stay in their history without your name attached.
